The Montana HIMSS chapter is hosting their second annual spring convention from May 2 – May 3 in Billings, Montana. The event has several industry experts presenting on important HIT topics, including a keynote presentation from Mac McMillan, FHIMSS, CISM. McMillan will be presenting on a topic of great interest to many HIT professionals, the impacts and changes caused by the final Omnibus Rule. After reviewing the rule changes and implications, McMillan will share OCR’s initial analysis and lessons learned from the 2012 pilot audit program. Other sessions held by other industry experts include, “Mobility Trends and Access Strategy for Healthcare” and “Considering Quality – Creating a Framework for the Delivery of Consistently High Quality Information Services”.
