CynergisTek VP of Compliance David Holtzman will be participating in a panel titled “Best Practices for Safeguarding the Confidentiality, Integrity and Availability of ePHI” at the 8th annual conference co-presented by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office for Civil Rights (OCR).

The conference, which is available to participants either in-person or via live webcast, will cover topics related to the HIPAA Security Rule, including breach management, business associate liability and medical device security. Additionally, there will be presentations from Jocelyn Samuels, Director of OCR, and Deven McGraw, Deputy Director of OCR. This will be Deven’s first public presentation since taking her new role with OCR. We look forward to hearing the OCR updates and sharing them with our clients.
