The pioneer in Managed Print Services (MPS) for the health care industry, announces a five-year contract worth over $40 million with Catholic Health East (CHE) to implement its MPS strategy in 19 hospitals, three long-term care facilities and a multitude of clinical and administrative entities in 11 states from Maine to Florida. CHE is based in Newtown Square, Pa., and is a multi-institutional Catholic health care network of 18 regional health corporations located along the eastern seaboard of the U.S. and employs approximately 54,000 full-time employees.
The contract is the largest in CynergisTek’s history and signifies the distinguished leadership position the company has earned in the U.S. health care industry through its unique vendor neutral print management services and solutions methodology and expert approach for cutting costs by improving operational efficiencies in the process of document production and information sharing in modern hospitals.
CynergisTek will customize a print strategy program for CHE facilities and provide full-time, on-site print management experts and technical personnel to drive operational efficiencies and lead sustainability initiatives. The company will also assist the CHE hospitals’ IT departments to help prepare the print infrastructures for electronic health records (EHR) compliance and implementation. CHE savings are estimated to be approximately $12 million over the five-year term.
“Our company is privileged to have earned the confidence of CHE and is honored to work with the caregivers and administrators in all its regional health corporations and health ministries to implement our MPS program,” said Joseph J. Flynn, President and CEO of CynergisTek. “Our services will focus on the end-to-end integration of print hardware and technology with the goal of assisting in electronic health records strategies, reducing costs and creating long-term, sustainable volume reduction in the print infrastructure while improving end-user productivity. We are truly honored to be working with a prestigious institution such as CHE.”
“CynergisTek’s unique vendor neutral, health care exclusive approach and strong focus on cost savings and operational excellence was very attractive to CHE as we sought out a partner to execute our system-wide managed print strategy,” said Donette Herring, vice president and chief information officer, Catholic Health East. “CHE looks forward to this new partnership and to creating a new standard of excellence in managing the print environments of all of our regional health corporations.”
The demand for hospitals to reduce costs through increased operational efficiencies and to comply with EHR mandates is precisely aligned with CynergisTek’s MPS strategy. The company has experienced unprecedented growth in the last 24 months as more hospitals and health care systems seek out its unique MPS solution, which is health care exclusive and vendor neutral, and guarantees savings through its continuous process improvement methodologies.
