CynergisTek has been recognized by KLAS® as one of three firms provider organizations are turning to most for privacy and security assistance, in its groundbreaking report released in May 2014, entitled “Security and Privacy Perception 2014: High Stakes, Big Challenges.” CynergisTek leadership supported KLAS’ effort to develop its first ever report on firms providing privacy and security services, and commends the organization for its focus in the space.
“CynergisTek is pleased to see KLAS work with providers to develop a report focusing on information security. The stakes have never been higher for healthcare organizations, so it has become essential to provide the industry with the same peer-based review of vendors in the privacy and security space as it has for vendors in other sectors,” said Mac McMillan, CEO of CynergisTek. “Our recognition as one of the most mentioned consulting firms, particularly among such other well-known and established leaders, is extremely exciting for us. We feel this is a testament to the commitment of our people to bring value to our customers and our corporate commitment to enhance the state of information security in healthcare.”
KLAS surveyed 106 healthcare providers to determine where they felt the most at risk for breaches, and found that identity management and unauthorized data access by employees are their biggest concerns. KLAS also explored which third-party firms providers are looking to for assistance in addressing these issues and 46 different firms were mentioned, with CynergisTek, Deloitte and Verizon mentioned most often.
“We agree with the analysis presented in this groundbreaking KLAS report. Security is without a doubt a major focus of concern and having access to the right resources to help manage this risk is important. We are happy to contribute to this research by naming the partners we work with to effectively manage our security infrastructure amidst an increasingly complex threat environment,” said Chuck Podesta, CIO at Fletcher Allen Healthcare. “CynergisTek is a trusted partner and provides exceptional service, offering the expert guidance on risk management that we need to sustain and improve our overall security posture.”
