Mac McMillan is the Founder of CynergisTek, Inc. and serves as an Advisor to the organization. Mac McMillan is considered a thought leader in security, privacy, and compliance issues in healthcare from his 40-year career as a healthcare and government expert. Successfully founded and lead CynergisTek to become the top-ranked information security and privacy consulting firm focused on the healthcare IT industry. He is recognized as a HIMSS Fellow, former Chair of the HIMSS Privacy & Security Steering committee, Work Group and Policy Task Force. He served on the CHIME Board of Advisors for AEHIS, the Most Wired Advisory Board, contributed to Healthcare’s Cybersecurity Model for the Baldridge award and advised KLAS on defining its cybersecurity criteria. He has been an advisor, advocate, and role model to the HIT security community by sharing his passion to educate the industry on the importance of security. He is the recipient of the CHIME Foundation Industry Leader Award for Career Excellence, the Baldrige Foundation Award for Leadership Excellence in the Cybersecurity sector, the HIMSS John A Page Distinguished Fellows Service Award and is a DoD Excellence in Government Fellow.
McMillan served as Director of Security for two separate Defense Agencies, the On-Site inspection Agency (1988-1998) and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (1998-1999) and sat on numerous interagency intelligence and security countermeasures committees while serving in the U.S. government. He holds a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a Bachelor of Science degree in Education from Texas A&M University. He is a graduate of the Senior Officials in National Security program at the JF Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and the Federal Executives Institute. He retired from the US Marine Corps as an Intelligence Officer after 21 years of service.
Steve Cagle, MBA, HCISPP

Steve Cagle is the CEO and a board member of Clearwater, assuming the CEO position in May 2018. Mr. Cagle is responsible for leading Clearwater’s strategic growth plan and for management of the company’s overall operations. He has extensive experience leading, innovating, and scaling healthcare and technology businesses, including having guided a number of companies through critical transformation periods.
Formerly, Mr. Cagle was president and CEO of Moberg Pharma North America, a subsidiary of Moberg Pharma AB (OMX:MOB), a publicly traded Swedish pharmaceutical company. Prior to its acquisition by Moberg AB, Mr. Cagle was president and CEO of Alterna LLC, a consumer healthcare products company.
Prior to joining Alterna, Mr. Cagle was a principal and executive team member of Sparta Systems, Inc., a software company that provides enterprise quality and compliance management software to pharmaceutical and medical device companies. During his nine-year tenure with the company, he served in numerous leadership positions including marketing, sales, operations, and product innovation and was responsible for sales and marketing programs, which contributed to Sparta’s leadership position in the pharmaceutical and medical device industries and to its 100-fold sales growth.
Mr. Cagle serves as the executive chairman of CMP Pharma where he has guided its transformation to an institutionally owned specialty pharmaceutical company.
Mr. Cagle holds a Master of Business Administration from New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business and a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from Rutgers Business School in New Brunswick, N.J.

Baxter Lee serves CFO of Clearwater, assuming this position in May 2018. Mr. Lee is responsible for all strategic financial planning and accounting for the company and its subsidiaries, including CynergisTek. He has extensive financial and operational management experience in healthcare.
Formerly, Mr. Lee was CFO of Entrada Health, a mobile health documentation and productivity platform for healthcare providers that was acquired by NexGen Healthcare, (NASDAQ: NXGN) in 2017. Prior to his role with Entrada, Lee held multiple positions with Change Healthcare (fka Emdeon), a multi-billion dollar healthcare IT company. His positions there included divisional CFO of the Ambulatory and Payer Services divisions as well as director of corporate development, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions as well as corporate strategy across Emdeon’s four operating divisions.
Prior to joining Emdeon, Mr. Lee served as an associate in the Private Equity Group at Harbert Management Corporation and assistant vice president of underwriting in the Healthcare Finance Group at Merrill Lynch Capital.
Mr. Lee graduated with honors from the Executive MBA program at the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University in July 2013. He also holds an undergraduate degree in Business Administration from Washington & Lee University.

Ben Denkers is the Chief Innovation Officer at CynergisTek where he is responsible for supporting growth, ensuring effective and efficient service delivery, and achieving the highest levels of client and employee satisfaction for CynergisTek’s security, privacy and compliance services. Denkers has nearly 20 years of experience in information security and consulting that includes markets such as finance, automotive, energy, manufacturing, and healthcare. With the threat landscape changing daily, this breadth of experience provides a unique perspective to the industry specific risks organizations face. Prior to CynergisTek, he was the VP of North America Consulting at Cylance.
Throughout his career, Denkers has built an extensive track record of success delivering the vision, key leadership, and strategies to take business performance and IT security to new levels of performance. He has been recognized for building, training, and optimizing team productivity. His strong focus on providing the operating framework, training and development, and decisive leadership has empowered his teams to achieve tremendous success and drive business growth.
As a leader, Denker’s has partnered with stakeholders across all levels to build consensus for unified approaches to achieve ambitious business and financial objectives. He has spearheaded the development and implementation of numerous programs and services that have become key revenue generators and/or operational components for several organizations.
Dave Bailey, CISSP

Dave is Vice President of Healthcare Services and leads the managed validation, professional and consulting services for the healthcare business. Prior to his role at CynergisTek, Dave served as the Director of Technology and Security at Mary Washington Healthcare, where he was responsible for technology leadership and served as the HIPAA Security Officer. Dave received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science from Wilkes University and is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP). Dave has over 12 years of healthcare cybersecurity experience and more than 12 years of experience serving in the Air Force, and supporting the federal government in both small and large business as a cybersecurity professional.

Steven has over 24 years of experience in the Information Technology industry, 22 of which were spent specializing in information security design, development, and deployment. Steven has functioned in various roles from Executive Sales Leader to Principle Consultant in numerous engagements with assignments encompassing corporate and program management, computer security and network operations, and executive-level consulting. Steve has led sales & marketing organizations for two of the Gartner Magic Quadrant leaders in MSSPs, Verizon and Trustwave.
Areas of special interest to Steve include sustainable and resilient security operations, data security and privacy, leadership development, and sales management. Steven has been a speaker at Healthcare, Energy/Utility & Financial Services conferences, and frequently is asked to address clients regarding security trends and data breach intelligence.

Vice President, Privacy and Compliance
Andrew Mahler, JD, CIPP/US, CHC, CHPC, CHRC is the Vice President of Privacy and Compliance at CynergisTek, where he leads data privacy and health care compliance professional, consulting, and managed services. Andrew first started at CynergisTek as a Senior Consultant and supported diverse clients with privacy and compliance assessment, consulting, and as an Interim Chief Privacy Officer. Prior to CynergisTek, Andrew served as the Privacy and Research Integrity Officer for the University of Arizona, where he was responsible for implementing privacy and research compliance programs for the colleges, departments, clinics, and academic health sciences throughout Arizona.
Andrew started his career in data privacy and information security with the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services, Office for Civil Rights (OCR), where he investigated and managed cases related to HIPAA Privacy, Security, and Breach Notification Rule compliance, as well as cases related to civil rights laws. While at OCR, Andrew resolved cases by obtaining voluntary compliance and designing corrective action and resolution agreements.
Andrew is a lawyer and holds the CIPP/US, CHC, CHRC, and CHPC certifications. He has developed courses in health care law and data privacy and is a guest lecturer for other law and business courses in law, health care, and compliance. In addition, he has published and presented on topics including health law, data privacy and HIPAA, research compliance, and risk management.

Vice President Business Development & Strategy
Jaime Reynolds joined CynergisTek in 2022, as Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. She brings nearly two decades of healthcare and cybersecurity expertise, as well as a successful track record of building and executing go to market sales strategy at multiple start up and hyper growth companies in this space. Early in her career, Jaime developed the healthcare vertical in both North America and EMEA regions for a global IT media consultancy, which is where her passion for solving challenges in healthcare began. Jaime has since, held various leadership roles in Sales, Business Development, and Strategy at the Herjavec Group, BluePrint HIT ( now Intraprise Health), and Fortified Health Security. Most recently, Jaime led the Business Development team at Fortified, where she and and her team supported all pre-sales and sales enablement activity, provided market R&D, and drove partner, channel, and new service line strategy and development.
Jaime has been a long-time member and supporter of CHIME, HIMSS and active AEHIS member. She holds a BA from CW Post, Long Island University, is native to Long Island, NY, and now resides in Nashville with her husband John, 10 year old son, Harrison, and two dogs.

Dr. Thomas Graham, Ph.D., serves as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at CynergisTek, a top Healthcare cybersecurity and privacy consulting firm. Dr. Graham is responsible for all internal security items for the CynergisTek organizations and its affiliates.
Before CynergisTek, Dr. Graham supported the Defense Health Agency (DHA) where his team received a FedHealthIT award that was presented at the National Press Club in Washington, DC. Dr. Graham currently holds a Ph.D. in Information Assurance and Security, an MBA, and a Master of Science degree in Technology Systems.
He also serves on the MIS Advisory Board for East Carolina University and has been a member of the HIMSS Cybersecurity, Privacy, and Security Committee. Dr. Graham has previously spoken in 2021’s National Cyber Summit, 2021 CS2, and the 2019 ISC2 Security Congress.

Rafael Lammie is the Vice President, People and Culture for CynergisTek. In this role, Rafael establishes the company’s people strategy that drives business and employee performance. He is responsible for attracting, engaging, developing, and retaining talent that enables CynergisTek to perform at the highest levels. Rafael develops and oversees HR and business programs, including talent acquisition, culture integration, performance management, leadership development, compensation, benefits, training, business intelligence, predictive analytics, and strategic insights.
Rafael brings extensive experience in building and delivering innovative people solutions, developing, and managing global teams that operate in an agile way, and helping to build a high-performance culture that promotes diversity and inclusion. Before joining CynergisTek, Rafael held senior leadership roles where he was responsible for all aspects of Human Resources including alignment of the HR function and broader employee base with corporate strategy. He served in management roles for UPS, Intertek Group plc, and HID Global.
Rafael holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Colorado State University, along with a master’s in organizational management and undergraduate degrees in behavioral psychology and social science. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.
