The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), Office for Civil Rights (OCR) are co-hosting their annual conference, “Safeguarding Health Information: Building Assurance Through HIPAA Security” May 21st through May 22nd. This annual conference is two days of informative sessions dedicated to everything around the HIPAA Security Rule. The conference will review everything from the current state of healthcare information security programs to advice on how to comply with the Rule.
